Chaiten Tomlin (5’ 10” 180, Mount St. Joseph) was a four year starter for MSJ, and was not scared to let the ball fly in those four years he threw for 11,335 yards and 133 TDs, including a senior campaign with 31 TDs to only 6 INTs.  During his Sophomore year he tied the NCAA touchdown record in a game (9) which got him D3 Performance of the Year. In his Senior year he was a FAF All-American.  This is not his first meeting with Head Coach Resignalo, as Resignalo was his head coach for the All-American All-Star Game in November.

Tomlin had this to say to Cobra Nation, “I’m extremely honored and excited to come in and compete for an organization like the Carolina Cobras.  I would like to thank Rob Storm and Richard Maslia (Owners) and Coach Res for giving me this opportunity to continue playing the game I love.  Looking forward to teaming up with all these top tier players around the country and ready to bring the championship trophy back to Greensboro!  Go Cobras!!!”

Head Coach Josh Resignalo said “Tomlin put up big numbers in college, while also being named a 3x player of year in high school sports.  Chaiten is a competitor in everything he does and he’s not afraid of competition at the next level either.  Tomlin can sling the rock, racking up over 11,300 yds passing in his collegiate career while throwing 133 TDs.  Impressive numbers, but he is also accurate which is a must in the arena game.  He was over 60% in completions for his career while only throwing 37 Int’s in 4 years.  Protecting the football is what he does while spreading it around to his teammates.  I’ve had the opportunity to coach him in a College All Star Bowl game as his HC/OC.  Was a great experience and got to know him a bit.  Will be exciting to see him in camp with the Cobras competing for a spot.”
