Carolina signs Defensive Back Chris Cooley

GREENSBORO- Chris Cooley (5’11, 185) signs with the Carolina Cobras for his first season of arena football.

Cooley started college at Southwest Mississippi Community College. In his sophomore year with Southwest Mississippi, Cooley caught 17 passes for 245 yards. In his junior year, Cooley transferred to the University of Southern Mississippi and played one season as a defensive back. In his senior year, Cooley transferred and finished his college career in Delta State University. That year, Cooley played in 10 games and had 23 catches for 222 yards.

Cooley is a native of McComb, Mississippi and played high school football at Dexter High School in Tylertown, Mississippi. Cooley played football, basketball, and baseball in high school and earned all-state honors in each of those sports.
