Carolina signs Kicker Josh Czajkowski

GREENSBORO –  Josh Czajkowski (5’11, 220) signed today with the Carolina Cobras for his second year of arena football. Czajkowski played in eight games for the Pittsburgh Power in 2013 making 18 out of 27 extra points and was 100.00% in field goal percentage, scoring 21 total points for the Power. In 2012, Czajkowski attended training camp for the Utah Blaze of the Arena Football League. 

In college, he played for NC State and played alongside NFL Quarterback Russell Wilson. Czajkowski got his first start with the Wolfpack in 2008 and finished the year ranked fourth in the ACC in field goals averaging 1.23 a game and ranked third in the ACC in field goal percentage (.842). During his first year as a starter, he led the team with 16 field goals including a 41-yard game-winning field goal to beat East Carolina in overtime.  In 2009, he earned the Lou Groza Preseason Award and Second Team All-ACC preseason honors. He connected for .883 percent of field goals and kicked a career long 48-yard game-winning field goal against Maryland. As a senior, he ended his career ranked third in the ACC for PATS made (76) and kicked 73 consecutive PATS, three shy of the school record and ranked eighth in school history for field goals made with 26. 

Czajkowski is a native of Springfield, Virginia where he was a First Team All-District, All-Northern Region, All-Metro, and All-AAA State kicker as a senior at West Springfield High School. The highly recruiter kicker hit 29 of 30 extra points as a junior and connected on five for six field goals with his longest being 47 yards.
