Cobras sign Wide Receiver Josh McNeil

GREENSBORO –  Josh McNeil (6’6, 230) signed today with the Carolina Cobras for his first year of arena football. McNeil finished his college career at Akron University where he played Tight End for the Zips. During his career at Akron he played in 10 games recording seven receptions for 37 yards and one touchdown including three catches for 18 yards and a touchdown against Eastern Michigan. Prior to Akron, McNeil played for Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Mississippi. 

McNeil is a native of Durham, North Carolina where he played at Milford Academy. Despite only playing one year of high school football, McNeil was highly recruited by Florida State University and LSU, as a senior he played tight end for Milford Academy, racking up 17 receptions for 215 yards and three touchdowns. McNeil originally committed to Florida State University before heading to Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
