Carolina signs Offensive Lineman Anthony Jackson

GREENSBORO –  Anthony Jackson (6’5, 370) will be entering his fourth season in arena football. In 2016, Jackson helped the Wichita Falls Nighthawks to an 11-5 record. Jackson also helped the team produce 3,621 passing yards and 67 touchdowns and 1,157 rushing yard. After college, Jackson took a break from football and returned professionally,  in 2014 to play for the Nashville Venom of PIFL until 2015.  Between the two seasons, Jackson helped the team achieve a 17-6 record, an American Conference Championship Game win in 2014 and a second playoff appearance in 2015. 

Jackson finished his collegiate football campaign the with Southwest Baptist University in 2009, where he helped the team accumulate 2,239 rushing yards, 3,063 passing yards and  51 touchdowns. Prior to SBU, Jackson played football for  the Arkansas State Red Wolves, where he played as a defensive lineman for six games and recorded three tackles as a sophomore. 

Jackson is native of St. Louis, Mo, where played football for Hazelwood East High School. Throughout his high school career, he was a two-year starter on offense and defense, registered 94 tackles during his senior season, was rated as a two-star player, honorable mention All-State, second team All-conference, first team all-district and was an all-metro selection. He also played basketball and participated in track and field.
