Cobras sign Defensive End Jamal Palmer

GREENSBORO – Jamal Palmer (6’2, 245) will be joining the Carolina Cobras for his first year of arena football. 

Prior to signing with the Cobras, Palmer signed with the Tennessee Titans in 2016 as an undrafted free agent and competed in the Titans Rookie Minicamp. In College, Palmer was a Two-Time All-Big 12 Defensive End at Baylor University. During career at Baylor he helped the Bears to two conference championships and two bowl victories. He finished his career ranked sixth all-time on the teams sack list with 13, playing in 39 games starting in a total of 18. Palmer ended his college career with a total of 110 tackles, 27.5 tackles for a loss, 25 qb hurries, 13 sacks, nine forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Earning All-Big 12 honors his senior and sophomore year, Palmer also played in eight of 13 games as a true freshman at Baylor. 

Palmer is a native of McKinney, Texas where he was a All-State Defensive End at Boyd High School. During his high school career he was also named 2011 Class 5A All-State Honorable Mention, First Team All-District recording 64 tackles, 25 tackles for a loss, six sacks and seven forced fumbles his senior year.
