Cobras sign Rookie Defensive Back Darius Thomas

GREENSBORO –  Darius Thomas (6’1, 195)  begins his professional career with the Carolina Cobras. 

Thomas played football at Henderson State from 2015-2016, where he totaled 24 tackles and had a team high of four interceptions in 2015, a season best with four tackles, key interception of the year and had a 44-yard interception return against Arkansas Tech. Thomas began his college football career at Union College where he played from 2012-2014. At Union, Thomas appeared in 11 games as a freshman in 2012, recorded  56 tackles and two pass breakups, was redshirted in 2013 due to an injury, and returned in 2014, totaling 72 tackles including 5.5 stops and three fumble recoveries.

Thomas is a native of Dublin, Georgia and played football at West Laurens high school, where he earned All-Conference Honors.
