Cobras sign Rookie Defensive Back Cory Morrow

GREENSBORO – Cory Morrow (6’0, 210) begins his professional career with the Carolina Cobras. Morrow played college football at the University of Akron from 2012-2016. Throughout his college career, he accumulated 19 solo tackles, 13 assisted tackles and one forced fumble. From 2014-2016, Morrow appeared in all 37 games. In 2013, Morrow appeared in nine games, finished the season with four tackles. As a redshirt freshman, Morrow was named Akron’s Harry “Doc” Smith Outstanding Freshman defensive award winner.

Morrow is a native of Geneva, Ohio and played football at Geneva High School, where he was a four-year letterwinner. He was also named to first-team All-County and first-team All-PAC as a senior, named second-team All-District and Ashtabula County Defensive Back of the Year in 2011 and finished his junior campaign with 60 tackles and one interception.
