Cobras Sign Wide Receiver Tyrell Goodman

GREENSBORO – Wide Receiver Tyrell Goodman (6’2”, 213) spent his rookie year with the Wichita Falls Nighthawks where he caught two catches for 25 yards and one touchdown. Prior to his pro career, Goodman played at the University of Akron where he played in six games as a quarterback, wide receiver, and kick returner. As a quarterback, Goodman threw 17 passes for 284 yards, two touchdowns and rushed for 37 yards. As a receiver Goodman hauled in 45 receptions, 475 yards and six touchdowns during his career at Akron.  

Tyrell Goodman grew up in Yonkers, New York where he was a three-year letterwinner and standout quarterback at Archbishop Stepinac High School. As a senior, he won Class-A New York State Player of the Year, Madison Square Garden Player of the Year, Journal News Player of the Year, First-Team All-State, First-Team All-Borough, First-Team All-CHSFI and First-Team All-City. Goodman finished his high school career with 3,012 passing yards, 1,867 rushing yards, including 1,686 passing yards during his senior year.
